JVL began in 1984, when Joseph Levitan started repairing coin-operated machines. The work rewarded practical problem-solving and close attention to detail — every machine had to hold up in the real world, not just look good on paper.
That repair-first mindset still shapes JVL today: build thoughtfully, test carefully, and stand behind what customers own.
Our history
1984
JVL begins as a coin-operated machine repair business in Canada, working with arcade and amusement equipment used by operators.
1990
After years of repair work, JVL begins designing its own games and hardware for amusement operators, focusing on reliability, serviceability, and player engagement.
1990s–2000s
JVL develops touchscreen entertainment platforms including Concorde, Conquest, and Encore, building experience in bartop arcade machines and operator-focused gaming hardware.
2010
JVL introduces ECHO, a compact touchscreen bartop arcade machine created for bars, venues, and social play.
Today
Today, JVL builds ECHO arcade machines for home and commercial use and FLEX gaming hardware, backed by a library of slot titles produced for casino operators.
JVL builds for two worlds — private homes and game rooms, and the commercial venues where machines run all day.
